Maybe you know that I will go the 2nd trainingscamp. And you also know that the next expedition is about the Ice Cut Fjords in New Zealand.
As a little preparation I decided to read some books of the South Island of New Zealand...
...and I read an interesting thing what I have to tell you:

In the most southern point of New Zealand there is the STEWARD ISLAND. It's such an awesome place!!!
On this big island which is twice bigger than New York City live just 690 people and the life there is so different...
The oyster beds there are reaped from march till august, how the rules says. And a part of the earning is given to the Maori. Current is self-produced. There aren't any nuclear power plant!

Already the Maori called the island "Land of the Glowing Skies"...
It's a different life. A peacefull life. A live in friendship to the nature and the animals --> fairness for everyone.
They live another life there. It isn't anyone obsessed of money like in Europe so much people are. They aren't polluting the world. But they will also be attacked of the consequence. It's our blame.
My question is: Can we bear such a big responsibility?
My answer is: No we can not!
WE HAVE TO STOP!!!

Did you ever hear of Atmosfair?

atmosfair allows air travellers to calculate the quantity of greenhouse gases caused by their flights and how much it costs to save these emissions elsewhere by investing in climate protection projects. With your donation atmosfair realizes solar, hydropower, biomass, or energy-efficiency projects which save the amount of greenhouse gases your flight has emitted before.
For example: If you flew a distance of 1000 kms, they would plant so much trees who are necessary to absorb 0,2 tons CO².
Take a look to Atmosfair.

> Five humans are every year killed by sharks
> 100 by elephants and tigers
> 2.400 by executions
> 22.000 by illegal drugs
> 1,2 million by traffic accidents
> 8 million by starvation
Some hours ago I watched the movie: Sharkwater. And my thoughts are...
...sharks are nice animals and absolutely not killers. Movies like the white shark showed the world in the past that sharks are terrible. But now we have to show the world that sharks are nice animals and we have to protect their lives. Because sharks are the basis of ocean live. And the ocean is the basis of our live.
The thing is: Sharks can live without us. But we can't live without sharks.
Rob Steward shows in his movie the terribility of the shark finning mafia.
Shark finning is the most horrible thing of this world I've ever seen. The shark mafia cut their fins and let them slowly die in the deep ocean. They don't die quick. --> They die slowly and horrible.
Think about that!

Every 2 years, the ministry of the environment asks the question: "How high is the German, environmental awareness?"
The today's presented studies show: Environmental awareness is important to us.
80% called the humans as initiator of climate change.
87% think that the industrial countries are blame and should do something against that.
92% says that the saving of our environment is not only important for our nature, but also for the people.
But that's the reality...
Just 3% of the Germans get green electricity. 31% don't want to have green electricy and 56% want to do it in nearly future.
Result
Environmental protection, yes gladly, but only, when you have to spend a little time and money.
80% are inclinable to do more against climate change, but just when all would act this way.
Let's come together and fight against climate change!
Hey,
I want to get to know the 16 selected...

Mc Donalds is one of the largest pollutive companies of the world. They are wasting paper more than everybody else. For example: If you buy a drink, a burger and some chips. You will get
- a packing for the drink
- a packing for the burger
- a packing for the chips

...the greenpeace newsletter is a very informing and interesting newsletter. With all topical things about climate change. For example:
Last week I got a mail about the climate conferenz in Poznan.
...or yesterday one about the global climate day.
I advice you to subscribe the newsletter.
www.greenpeace.org/international/
Yesterday I got the weekly newsletter of greenpeace.
They've written that Saturday is the Global Day of Action for climate. They said: "If you're not going out to a demonstration in your area, you could maybe join us online instead."
What means that?
"We want YouTube's important "most commented videos" page to be all about climate change on Saturday. This can't be bought. But it can be won! Here's how: If thousands of people comment on a handful of climate videos in the next few hours, we can break onto that page, where many more people will see them, and the climate message will spread from there."
It all starts with you. Are you ready?

I'll make my comment! I hope you, too!
